New York, NY (Sports Network) - Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Osvaldo Alonso and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Hector Jimenez were both suspended by Major League Soccer on Friday.

Alonso received a two-match suspension for his reckless challenge against Cole Crossman of the Columbus Crew, and Jimenez received an additional one-fixture ban on top of an automatic one-game suspension for a red-card foul against the San Jose Earthquakes' Steven Beitashour.
